Perreo 101 Testimonials: Foundation medicine Fall ‘22

Katelina and Jenny provided super interesting history on the connections of multi-racial experience of being afro-Caribbean and afro-Latinx and connection to African influences in todays reggaetón music and in the context of American media and culture. One point of feedback would be for the speakers to share the talk materials in advance if requested by the company because some companies have review requirements for events but also for event timing and planning. Happy to chat more if helpful. I also took this as a lesson learned for myself since the need for the materials in advance wasn't discussed during the contracting period with the ladies in this case. Overall, our members really enjoyed the ladies first hand experiences and stories of the industry and history. They were excited to follow the ladies on socials as well. We were glad they were able to join us for our Hispanic Heritage month event!
