Dear all whom may concern,

I'm emailing to demand the immediate release of all students arrested this morning at the Gaza solidarity camp. I am outraged by UCSD’s violent measures against its own students. Sending police in riot gear to arrest sleeping students does not keep students safe. As a concerned student / alumni/community member, I demand that the university drop all charges and release all 60 students. The UC must DROP ALL FELONY CHARGES against protestors. I echo the demands of these principled student activists who are calling for an end to the genocide in Gaza.

1. Break the silence to affirm Palestinians' right to life and safety, condemn the ongoing genocide, and call for a permanent immediate ceasefire.

2. Ensure amnesty for all those associated with the solidarity encampment at UCSD, and stop the repression of Palestinian activism on our campus.

3. Commit to a campus-wide boycott that includes but not limited to academic ties and consumer goods' contracts. 

4. Divest from weapons manufacturers complicit in Israel's genocide against Gaza. 

Irrespective of political stance, our academic institutions have no business profiting off of apartheid, genocide, illegal occupation, or militarism— not now and not ever.
